Business Development Representative

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Representative responsible for identifying and developing new growth opportunities for Riveer across existing and emerging markets.

This role is focused on market expansion and opportunity creation and requires someone who can identify industries, applications, and customer segments where Riveer’s equipment and expertise can provide value, then develop and execute strategies to establish relationships, generate opportunities, and drive long-term growth within those markets.

The ideal candidate is naturally curious, strategic in their thinking, and skilled at building relationships. They are comfortable researching industries, identifying trends, engaging prospective customers, and developing opportunities that contribute to long-term revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate industries, applications, and market segments with strong growth potential for Riveer’s products and services
  • Develop and execute outreach and market penetration strategies designed to establish relationships, generate opportunities, and drive growth within targeted industries and applications
  • Identify key decision-makers, influencers, consultants, and industry contacts within prospective customer organizations
  • Build relationships through phone, email, social media, networking events, industry associations, trade shows, and customer visits
  • Generate and qualify new business opportunities and collaborate with internal stakeholders to transition opportunities into active sales pursuits
  • Gather and communicate customer feedback, industry trends, competitive intelligence, and emerging market opportunities
  • Represent Riveer professionally at trade shows, conferences, and industry events
  • Maintain accurate records of activities, opportunities, customer interactions, and pipeline development within CRM systems

Qualifications

  • 3-7+ years of experience in business development, industrial sales, technical sales, capital equipment sales, or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze markets, identify growth opportunities, and translate findings into actionable business development strategies
  • Strong prospecting and relationship-building skills
  • Demonstrated ability to open doors, establish new customer relationships, and create opportunities where no prior business relationship existed
  • Comfortable conducting research and independently pursuing new markets
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience using CRM systems to manage sales activities and opportunities
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed for customer visits, trade shows, industry events, and business development activities
  • Familiarity with industrial equipment, engineered systems, manufacturing processes, or technical products preferred

    We are seeking an experienced Capital Equipment Sales Manager with a proven ability to identify, develop, and close sales opportunities to lead and grow our sales efforts and our sales team. This role is responsible for shaping sales strategy, strengthening the sales pipeline, improving overall sales effectiveness, and mentoring our sales representatives.

    The ideal candidate understands long sales cycles, consultative solution selling, and how to navigate both customer organizations and internal technical teams.

    You will work closely with engineering, operations, and leadership to align customer needs with Riveer’s capabilities, ensuring solutions are technically sound, competitively positioned, and executable.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive growth across target industries (ex: defense, construction, mining, industrial)
    • Lead, mentor, and support the sales team through coaching, accountability, and ongoing development
    • Support the onboarding, training, and development of new sales personnel
    • Monitor individual and team performance and provide timely feedback and support
    • Promote consistency and accountability in opportunity tracking, forecasting, and communication practices across the sales team
    • Identify and prioritize high-value opportunities, market segments, and key accounts
    • Act as a bridge between sales and engineering to ensure alignment on scope, feasibility, and timelines
    • Work to ensure smooth project handoffs and customer satisfaction
    • Contribute to continuous improvement of quoting, proposal development, and overall sales processes
    • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform strategy
    • Provide input into product development, positioning, and messaging based on real-world market needs

    Qualifications

    • 5-10+ years of experience in capital equipment, industrial, or engineered systems sales
    • 3-5+ years of experience leading, mentoring, or managing salespeople
    • Proven track record of developing and closing complex, high-value deals
    • Strong technical aptitude; ability to understand and communicate engineered solutions (engineering background or experience preferred)
    • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering or technical teams in a custom product environment
    • Demonstrated ability to build and manage a sales pipeline, including forecasting and CRM utilization
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field preferred

      Controls Engineer

      We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join our engineering team. This role will focus on the design, programming, integration, and troubleshooting of control systems for Riveer’s custom-built wash and water treatment systems. You will play a critical part in ensuring each system performs reliably, meets customer specifications, and complies with industry standards for safety and efficiency.

      The ideal candidate is comfortable owning controls systems from concept through commissioning in a custom-engineered environment, has excellent communication skills, and a hands-on, problem-solving mindset. Experience integrating robotic systems into automated equipment is a strong plus.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Design, develop, and implement industrial control systems for wash equipment and filtration solutions
      • Write, test, and troubleshoot PLC code (Allen Bradley/Rockwell preferred) for new equipment and legacy system upgrades
      • Program robotic and or controls equipment per customer specifications
      • Support robotic system commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization
      • Develop and review electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and wiring diagrams for custom-engineered systems
      • Interface controls with mechanical, electrical, and fluid-handling systems; configure VFDs, sensors, actuators, safety devices, and related components
      • Participate in system testing, onsite commissioning, and customer training
      • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, fabrication, assembly, etc.
      • Provide controls/technical support both in-house and at customer sites as needed
      • Foster and maintain positive relationships with customers and vendors
      • Troubleshoot and optimize systems for performance, safety, and reliability

      Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
      • 3+ years of experience designing/programming PLC-based control systems in an industrial or manufacturing environment
      • Knowledge of motor controls, relay logic, panel design, robot programming, and control systems integration
      • Ability to interpret and follow customer dictated design and programming methodology
      • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Proficiency in Rockwell Automation software platforms such as Studio 5000/RSLogix 5000, and HMI platforms such as FactoryTalk View/Panel View
      • Experience with industrial robotics (FANUC preferred)
      • Familiarity with robot safety standards, teach pendants, and robotic cell integration
      • Exposure to AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN
      • Experience in water treatment, fluid handling, wash systems, or equipment with integrated filtration and pumping systems

          We’re looking for an experienced mechanical engineer who can take ownership of custom mechanical designs from concept through production. You’ll create 3D models, produce detailed drawings, specify components, and collaborate cross-functionally to guide complex mechanical systems from concept through production.

          This role blends mechanical design, practical engineering, and project management, ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, collaboration, and hands-on work.

          Key Responsibilities

          • Lead projects from kick off through design, build, and installation
          • Design and model mechanical systems and components that meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards
          • Produce detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings in Autodesk Inventor
          • Support system integration and troubleshoot design challenges during build and test phases
          • Gather and evaluate feedback from operators, builders, and installers to continuously improve designs
          • Prepare technical documents and reports
          • Continuously improve design processes and contribute to new product development

          Qualifications

          • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
          • 5+ years of mechanical design experience in manufacturing or custom equipment
          • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Autodesk Inventor preferred)
          • Experience with design for fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly
          • Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts
          • Hands-on, able to work through complex problems
