Riveeries and Remembrances of 2013

On this last day of 2013, I wanted to take a look back at all that we've accomplished this year and give a little teaser for what's to come. If you’ve been following our blog then you’ll know about us scoring a big win with the installation of our BirdBath Automatic Clear Water Rinse System at Andersen Air Force Base in Guam. It was a hugely complicated custom project which seemed to take up residence in our shop for the majority of the year. Every member of the Riveer Team touched the project in some way or another and worked extremely hard to get it out on time and in perfect working order. It was clearly evident to our customer how much effort was put into the research, engineering and testing of this system; something that we can all take great pride in.

Riveer Engineers developed several other successful custom systems this year including an Automatic Spray Booth, a system in Alaska which supplemented a scarce resource (water) with an abundant resource (snow), and a massive wash rack system with mezzanines along the sides to give the maintenance crew a clear shot at the top of semis along with a high-powered undercarriage sprayer. Our sales team scored a few big customers and sold a lot of TAWS units. Another big deal around the office was when Patent #8,499,774 was awarded to the Riveer Team in 2013 for our Automatic Dewatering Drag Conveyor after years of perfecting the design. Mostly used in extremely muddy or filthy equipment washing applications, the purpose of the conveyor is to pull some of the solid waste out of a wash rack so that it doesn't clog up the system. From there it goes into a filter-lined hopper which removes a lot of the moisture, leaving behind a more manageable pile of dirt that can be easily disposed of using a forklift.

2013 has been a year of marginal growth compared to 2012 but we have grown nonetheless. We purchased some new equipment for the shop, built a brand new inventory management area, bought a new server, and hired on a few new employees. 2014 is already looking to be a great year, full of growth and excitement. We will be doing some hiring over the next couple months and hopefully building new office space soon. There are a lot of hot irons in the fire so get ready!

From all of us here at Riveer, thank you for supporting us (even if just by reading our blog!) and please have a safe and wonderful New Year's Eve. May 2014 be your best year yet!
