Technical Outside Sales Representative

Job Responsibilities, Qualifications & Skills

Location: Remote
Reports to: VP of Sales 

Description: Technical Outside Sales Representative that is responsible for selling technical, custom engineered solutions in the wash rack and wash water recover systems industry.  A highly motivated self-starter capable of planning and organizing an aggressive sales plan and execution. 

Job Functions:  

  • Sales of Riveer Products and services to domestic businesses
  • Develop a market plan within territory and or vertical market
  • Writing and presenting proposals
  • Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline
  • Engaging in deal strategy and negotiations
  • Identify new markets and create a plan to execute a sales strategy 
  • Manage sales leads provided by company
  • Develop and plan to create a steady stream of leads and opportunities
  • Report regularly on sales efforts and activities
  • Manage sales projects from lead through drawing release, including kick-off meetings, and post installation, and sale of service contracts.
  • Frequent travel is expected.
  • Learn and understand Riveer product lines, services, capabilities, etc.
  • Visit South Haven, MI facility regularly and as needed

Work Environment:

  • Remote 
  • Frequent travel is expected as well as attend events and trade shows 
  • Occasional weekends, holidays, and after business hours 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree highly preferred, but equivalent prior sales experience may be substituted
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Must be highly organized and adept to multi-tasking
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products; particularly outlook, excel, PowerPoint is a must
  • Must be committed to providing outstanding customer service 
  • Must possess strong strategic and analytical skills to analyze customer problems and develop an engineered solution

Desired qualifications:

  • Experience selling and working with mechanical applications 
  • Experience working with Engineers and manufacturing

Sales Coordinator

Job Responsibilities, Qualifications & Skills

Location: (HQ) South Haven, MI
Reports to: VP of Sales 

Description:he Sales Coordinator will assist with all aspects of the sales process at Riveer including custom quote writing, tracking, and reporting. You will develop a relationship with our government and commercial customers and distributors. Some travel to meet with end-users will be required. Additional responsibilities include trade show planning and occasional trade show attendance.

Job Functions:  

  • Develop a strong understanding of industry
  • Organize and assign leads to outside sales team
  • Actively log all sales activity in CRM system
  • Maintain sales records, reports, and present forecasting and monthly goals to senior management team
  • Engage in deal strategy & negotiations
  • Generate quotes
  • Identify customer needs
  • Order entry and tracking 
  • Work directly with Operations to track post-sale projects; update sales team
  • Work with various teams to ensure accurate order information
  • Assist in trade show coordination, marketing collateral, etc. 

Work Environment:

  • Individual workstation or office
  • Minimal travel (various trade shows as needed throughout the U.S. as well as International)

Mechanical Engineer

Job Responsibilities, Qualifications & Skills

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to work on all product stages from research and development to design and manufacture, through to installation and final commissioning. We make custom industrial wash systems and are located in South Haven, Michigan.

Responsibilities/duties:

  • Perform a full lifecycle product development (design, develop, test, manufacture and implement)
  • Design systems and components that meet needs and requirements
  • Produce outline designs (P&ID)
  • Conduct experiments methodically, analyze data and interpret results
  • Test and evaluate theoretical designs
  • Identify, formulate and produce effective solutions to emerging problems
  • Evaluate final product’s overall performance, reliability and safety
  • Alter and modify design to meet requirements and to eliminate malfunctions
  • Estimate budget and scope of project
  • Solicit observations from operators, builders and installers
  • Prepare product reports and documentation
  • Engage in lifelong learning and develop new theories or methods

Skills

  • Proven working experience in mechanical engineering
  • Working experience with product lifecycle management (PLM), finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
  • Hands-on experience with computer-aided engineering (CAM) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAE)
  • Hands-on experience working with, building, tearing down, and repairing machinery.
  • Familiarity with 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ProE or other). We use AutoDesk Inventor.
  • Adequate knowledge of engineering analysis tools (ANSYS, ProMechanica or similar)
  • Mathematical computing and analysis tools knowledge (Matlab, Excel, LabView, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science etc.
  • Familiarity with sheet metal design and fabrication.
  • Creativity and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner
  • Ability to use feedback from equipment builders/installers to improve designs for future builds.
  • Ability to work in a team and thrive
  • Technical writing skills
  • BSc degree in Engineering
  • 5-7 years’ experience desirable

Field Service Technician

Job Responsibilities, Qualifications & Skills

The Field Service Technician supports our sales and service departments in South Haven, MI and travels frequently. This position installs and services our custom water processing, wash water, and environmentally responsible wash water containment systems used in both industrial and government applications. As an installer/service person, you are the face of our company to our customers. Installs and preventative maintenance service work are scheduled well in advance, while repair service work has shorter scheduling time frames. Other duties may be assigned.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints and wiring schematics.
  • Install, service and/or repair wash system equipment at customer sites.
  • Assemble new equipment on-site.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
  • Travel frequently- 75-80%.
  • Operate safely.
  • Represent the Company in a positive manner.
  • Report customer feedback.
  • Build, assemble and test equipment at plant when not travelling.

Qualifications/skills:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3 years of install/service experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Problem solving.
  • Customer service mindset.
  • Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing experience is needed.
  • Construction training/background is very helpful.
  • Be available and able to work overtime.
  • Be dependable.
  • Be able to pass a background check- military site work will require this.
  • Ability to plan and follow a schedule and operate independently.
  • Good communication skills.

Electrical Engineer

Job Responsibilities, Qualifications & Skills

Electrical Engineer needed for equipment manufacturer in South Haven, MI. We make custom industrial wash systems. Pay will depend on experience.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Design and layout control panels and electrical systems using CAD
  • Program PLC’s (Allen Bradley), HMI’s, etc.
  • Draw and write manuals
  • Create Bill of Materials to order and build from
  • Ensure design compatibility with UL-508A
  • Create testing procedures and forms
  • Ensure proper inspection, testing and parts with all shipments

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
  • 2 years of work experience in a related field
  • Proficient in computer-aided design and drafting software
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to determine customer needs to develop project specifications and scope
  • Ability to interpret and implement specifications
